Thirty-five recorded simulations, each captioned with the stage it is executing and the claim language that stage illustrates, filterable by patent. They are physics simulations and are watermarked as such throughout — not recordings of a real robot, and not a prototype.
A note on terminology
The claims name these operations: PPF application, vinyl wrapping, ceramic coating, window tint, custom graphic and decal application. The same materials are sold under many other names — paint protection film, paint film, clear bra, surface protection film, wrap film, solar-control and safety film — and naming varies by region and by manufacturer. If a product is an adhesive film applied from a release liner, or a coating applied to a vehicle, watercraft or building surface, the question is which of the claim’s terms it falls under, not which trade name it is sold as. That is a claim-construction question to be settled with counsel on the specific product; nothing on this page decides it.

Dependent claims reach multi-degree-of-freedom hands with force and tactile sensing for handling high-voltage EV components under dedicated safety protocols, and humanoids that drive a vehicle into a service bay or onto a lift, connect and disconnect charging cables, and schedule charging with dynamic load balancing against grid demand and electricity pricing.
A hardware-agnostic software platform that processes a series of dermatological images across treatment sessions, normalising for lighting by deformable registration against stable epidermal micro-landmarks, quantifying pigment change, and forecasting future change by non-linear regression to produce a progress metric and a confidence-weighted completion date. An AI control system for autonomous surface treatment and film application on vehicle and watercraft exteriors and on building window surfaces. The claims recite a 3D vision system of stereo cameras and laser grid projectors, an automated magazine of interchangeable tool heads — heat-controlled roller, PPF applicator, heated flexible spatula, retractable cutting tool, motorised film tensioner, vibration-assisted squeegee, knifeless tape, controllable heat-gun end effectors and a glove-like dexterity tool — defect detection with real-time corrective action, fleet-wide learning through a centralised database, technique transfer from expert human demonstration, and a dedicated routine for vehicle mirror assemblies. A further claim reaches predictive selection of tool heads from sensed surface condition and job progress, to minimise downtime between operations.
An AI control system for autonomous installation, calibration and servicing of vehicle lighting — interior starlight fibre-optic headliners, exterior underglow, and headlight and taillight assemblies. This patent carries the portfolio’s only ordered method claim: obtain a 3D model, generate the servicing plan, transport the platform to the vehicle and prepare it, install or repair the components with tactile feedback, route and connect wiring and verify through the vehicle’s diagnostic systems, then quality-control and correct. Further claims recite on-device AI without continuous internet connectivity, autonomous recovery from obstructions and minor tool malfunctions, and six-hour or same-day completion through multi-robot or human-robot collaboration.

AutoWrap Robotics LLC retains ownership of all four patents. Licensing is the path to commercial rights. Licensees take a defined field of use rather than the whole portfolio, and because the fields do not overlap, a licence in one does not foreclose the others.
Scoped to a specific application area — automotive glazing and interlayers, vehicle exterior film and coatings, vehicle lighting and interiors, EV service and charging, architectural glazing, or marine. The field determines which patents and which control modules are in scope.
Field-of-use or territory-exclusive licensing granting a single licensee commercial rights within a defined market vertical or geographic scope. Royalty structure and sublicensing provisions negotiated at execution.

Where these claims apply
The portfolio spans automotive service automation, vehicle customisation and medical imaging. The sections below describe the application areas the claims are directed to, and the kinds of organisation for whom a licence would be relevant.
Humanoid and robotic platforms are entering vehicle service environments. The hardware is largely general-purpose; what makes it useful in a service centre is the control layer that tells it what to do — diagnostics, surface treatment, lighting installation, logistics, premises upkeep and customer interaction. These three patents are directed to that layer, and are drafted to run on third-party platforms without requiring proprietary hardware.
Starlight headliner installation and underglow systems are predominantly manual work — labour-intensive, inconsistent between vehicles, and difficult to scale. US 12,649,240 is directed to autonomous robotic installation and servicing of these systems end to end, including headliner handling, fibre-optic insertion, wiring, and post-install verification through the vehicle’s own diagnostic interface.
Claim 1 recites the target surface as an exterior surface of a vehicle or watercraft, or an interior or exterior window surface of a commercial or residential building. The same control system therefore reaches architectural glazing and marine hulls as well as vehicle bodywork — three surface markets served by one deployment, each licensable as its own field of use.
